Confessional Thursday

So I started my post yesterday and got a few confessions done and I never finished it. Oops. So it is coming at you late today. Better late than never right?

Time to confess...
grab button for Sparkles and Lattes
<div class="sparkles-and-lattes-button" style="width: 250px; margin: 0 auto;"> <a href="http://sparklesandlattes.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow"> <img src="http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/t472/lmalex13/Confessional%20Thursday.jpg" alt="Sparkles and Lattes" width="250" height="250" /> </a> </div>

I confess that I use the exclamation point way too much. I use it for everything. I just can't stop.

I confess that my girls diaper pail stinks to high h*ll. We have tried everything...air fresheners in it, outside of it, sprays, the baking soda capsules and cleaning it. Nothing works. It used to be amazing, but after almost a year and a half of the twins poop, it is the worst. Gag worthy bad. We thought about sticking it out for another year to year and a half until the girls are potty trained, but that can't happen. I can't live with the stink. So the search is on.

I confess that I couldn't stand my toe nails anymore after my botched pedicure in Mexico that I finally gave in and got gel toes again. I was trying to hold out and paint them myself, but she does a better job, I can relax and not worry about the dry time. So worth it.

I confess that I thought it was Friday today and got super excited about my weekend plans only to realize that I have a full work day ahead. Only saving grace is I have leftover pizza for lunch. It's the small things.

I confess that my whole body is sore from working out. I haven't been this sore in a long time. It feels good, but I feel like a total wuss with how sore I am and lack of motivation. But gym time today it is. Maybe my muscles will feel better.

I confess that my pedicure went way late last night so we didn't have the caesar salads my husband requested and I am not disappointed at all. I love table side cesar salads (spoiled much) and ones I get in restaurants, but only like homemade ones when you make the dressing, the croutons, have real parm cheese, etc. Otherwise it is bland and falls short of anything good. So I won and we got pizza delivered. The chicken will go to the girls, we can use the lettuce in a salad and the dressing (in a bottle, oh the horror) can be used Rory later on. No regrets.

I confess that I went into Target yesterday and didn't buy a single thing. They didn't have either of the shirts I wanted in stock and the sandals I wanted were out in my size. I guess Target didn't want my money yesterday.

And that concludes my confessions for the week.

To link up, grab the button up top, write your confessions, add the button and come back here to link up below. Super easy and fun. See you tomorrow for Friday Favorites.

  1. I literally just thought to myself "I use too many exclamation marks" this morning when responding to a blog post. Getting a pedi right now and it's taking forever! I feel you on the soreness. I've been doing barre class 2-3 days a week and I am sore every time!! Hang in there. It's almost Friday!!

    1. Oh I love long pedis!! More relaxation time. I can't wait to go on a run again, do spin class and the rotating stairs. I still get winded and cough when I am on the elliptical, so another few days of this for me. Have a great week!

  2. omg please tell me if you find a diaper pail that doesn't stink because i empty harpers literally every day I think because I get so sick putting a new diaper in there. Sometimes I will bring a dirty diaper downstairs and right outside just to avoid opening the dang thing!

    1. I will definitely let you know. The stink is awful. When I was sick and I opened it, I almost threw up because my gag reflex as awful. I have one in my amazon shopping cart that gets great reviews, so I am thinking of buying it and testing it out. It is expensive, but hoping it is worth it.

  3. Oh, I am so guilty of overusing exclamation points! Sometimes I have to reread what I wrote and delete a few so it doesn't look too awful. :)

    1. That is exactly what I do as well. I still overuse them probably. Ha.

  4. Our diaper pail is hideous as well and I need to clean it out. The last time it got super bad we took everything out of it, hosed it off and washed it with clorox, and then we let it sit out in the sun for a couple of hours. For some reason having it sit out in the sun seemed to do the trick. And I don't even remember how we knew to do that... I think it was something that I had found on Google or something.

    1. I don't even know if the sun would help at this point, but maybe. I can't believe how bad they get. It was fine until about a month ago and then it has been so gross. Sweet babies produce something foul. Ha.

  5. You didnt get anything at Target?? You should get an award or something! Pedicures are the best...no need to feel bad about that. And I totally keep thinking today is Friday and it's not. Which stinks. And I didn't have pizza for lunch (but I did have some yummy leftovers!). P.S. I like how you didn't use any exclamation points in the confession about exclamation points :)

    1. I know, right? I have never done that before. I always get something. Oh what leftovers did you have? I love leftovers that I look forward too. Haha, good catch on the exclamation points.

  6. Same goes with our diaper pail. The worst is when I change it and squeeze it to tie a knot and the poo air fills the room...so nasty.

You have no idea how much I miss target. They tried it here for a couple of years but it was so crappy that they shut them all down. Wahh

    1. Exactly. So glad I am not the only one with diaper pail problems. They are the worst.

They don't have Targets in Canada. Now that isn't fair.

  7. get a new diaper pail! We used ours for 2 1/2 years before it broke. I thought I could go without or make do with a broken one. No way, Jose. I was so glad I decided to just buy a new one! Those things are worth every penny. We had the Playtex Diaper Genie Elite and replaced it with the Playtex Diaper Genie Complete [only because the Elite wasn't in the store the day I needed to get a new one]. I have loved them both and highly recommend them!

    1. We have the Arm and Hammer Diaper Pail and liked it a lot, but now it stinks. We gifted the Diaper Genie Complete to my SIL, so I will look into that one as well. And yes, a diaper pail is essential.

  8. I say the same thing about myself and explanation points. I'm so glad it isn't just me. Emmy's "diaper pail" stinks so bad too. It's just a cute trash can from Target, but at the moment it is in the garage because it was still stinky. Ugh! I can't believe you found nothing at Target. How disappointing. You'd better make up for that soon. ;)

  9. Haha, I love your target confession! I am still waiting for that one to happen to me...

    1. I believe it was the first time ever. Or in many many years. I go in for one item and leave with about 10.

  10. I totally know what you mean about the little things...like pizza for lunch. I love that kind of stuff. Also, I hate when I go to Target or somewhere with every intention of getting something and they don't have it!

    1. I searched everywhere for those two shirts and nothing. Super bummed.

  11. Wait a second...you didn't buy ANYTHING? I am truly impressed. Talk about willpower!
I'm with you on the exclamation point. It's pretty much the best!

  12. Haha, I'm with you on exclamation points. I'll comment on a blog post and notice that I put them after every single sentence. Oops! I can't believe you managed to leave Target empty handed! You're my hero!
