Toddler Must Haves for a Beach Vacation

Wednesday, March 8, 2017

With Mexico 9 days away, I thought I would share an updated version to last year's Toddler Must Haves for Mexico (or any beach vacation). Last year, the girls were just over one years old and this year they are just over two years old. They change so much in just a year that I needed to update their packing list and also share it with others who are crazy enough to take their toddlers on a long plane flight to anywhere tropical.

Toddler Must Haves for Vacation

Five | Six | Seven
Eight | Nine | Ten

The girls needed new bathing suits and we scooped up a few at Target. They weren't too expensive and they had so many different styles.

The girls needed new summer/spring clothes and we have gotten gifts from the grandparents and we have also been shopping for clothes. There are so many cute options out there right now. Old Navy, Gymboree, Target, etc.

I have heard so many good things about Native shoes, so we scooped up two pairs for our trip. They are breathable and perfect for walking around the beach or boardwalk.

We needed new floats for the girls and my co-worker recommended these ones. I hope the girls like them!

This stroller has been a godsend for us. We still use them all the time and plan on taking them to Mexico again.

Last year, the girls swimsuits had builtin diapers, but this year they did not. We opted for Little Swimmers and hope these work well for the girls.

Sunscreen, need I say more?

And last but not least, the Kindle Fire for Kids. We need to keep them entertained on the plane and not bothering other passengers. Kindle Fire to the rescue.

Diapers (which my in-laws will purchase in Mexico)
Nail Clippers
Wet Wipes
Hand Sanitizer
Shampoo/Body Wash
Wash Cloth
Changing Pad
Sippy Cups

Can you tell I am excited to be leaving the snow for sunshine?!

I am linking up with Jenn and Jessi.

  1. Target's bathing suits are just adorable. I bought one for Emmy and am excited about it. I've heard good things about Natives. Old Navy has basically the same thing and they are way cheaper. Cam lived in them last summer and I bought a few pairs for each of them for this summer. Your trip is almost here!!

  2. We love natives!! They are perfect for summer and stay on unlike crocs. The floaties are awesome too. I'm agreeing with everything on your list haha!!

  3. I would love feedback on how the natives work throughout the week! I bought knockoff pairs from Old Navy last summer, but I wonder if the natives are easier on their feet? I'm basically just envious of the rest of this list because I would love to go to Mexico!

  4. Great list! I can't wait to hear all about this trip!

  5. You are going to love the Natives!! Also those puddle jumpers are awesome!! You're going to have the best time!

  6. Love this list! Those stick sunscreens are my favorite. We heading to the beach in a couple months and I stress about packing each year.

    1. Yes they are a godsend when it comes to kids and their skin.

  7. LOVE those little shoes! I had a pair of them for #babybigtruck last summer and she loved them I need to get a new pair for her for this year at camp!

  8. Those bathing suits and dresses are SO cute! Mila has the Old Navy version of Natives and we love them! Those puddle jumpers are fantastic too - I just wish Mila would wear hers more. She gets scared because her face is so close to the water (unlike when wearing her inner tube thing). And the Kindle Fire is a must have for sure - Mila got one for Christmas and we are so thankful for it at times Mila needs to sit still!

  9. Such a great list! We have an umbrella stroller that is similar to that and we absolutely love it!

  10. All the packing!! :)
I'm so jealous of your trip - its going to be so nice. Anywhere warm right now? I want to go to there!

  11. Yes to each and every item! We just got back from Florida and every single one of these items were packed.

  12. Target really does have great swim suits! I already got one for Olivia from there. You guys are going to have so much fun. I can't wait to hear all about your trip. I'm dying to go somewhere tropical.

  13. I agree with all those items! Those dresses are just too cute!

    1. Yes they are. We just love them and can't wait to wear them back home.

  14. You picked such cute things! My little grandson loves my Kindle ;) Have a great trip!

  15. Such a good list! We live in the puddle jumper over the summer at the lake. They are so cute on them too. It looks like little muscles, hehe. The swim suits are adorable. They are going to be prepared and precious on the trip. I know you are just so excited!

  16. Those shoes - could they be more adorable?! Awesome list gurlie, you're going to have an amazing trip <3

    1. So much stuff to pack for them. It is insane.

  18. Sounds like you are super prepared girl! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  19. Good list!! And I'm glad you linked to your previous one, too. We'll be going to the beach with our 1 year old this Summer and I need all the advice I can get lol!

  20. Ah, toddler vacations. I purchased a few suits for this year from Old Navy. Although our lists are similar, I also shared a few of my favs for vacationing with a little one. :) http://bentleylikethecar.blogspot.com/2016/06/how-to-vacay-with-toddler-part-i.html

  21. Great list!!! And yes yes yes to the tablet!

    1. I know, right? I hope the girls can tolerate the plane flight with it.
