Confessional Thursday

It's Thursday and it is time for a little confesh-sesh.

Wanna join in on the fun? Grab the button below, write your confessions and come back here to link up with Lynn and I.
grab button for Sparkles and Lattes
<div class="sparkles-and-lattes-button" style="width: 250px; margin: 0 auto;"> <a href="http://sparklesandlattes.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow"> <img src="http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/t472/lmalex13/Confessional%20Thursday.jpg" alt="Sparkles and Lattes" width="250" height="250" /> </a> </div>

I confess that I sort of went on a shopping craze yesterday. Nordstrom is having a up to 40% off sale and I bought a pair of jeans. Then I hit up Loft and bought a pair of bright chinos (40% off). I blame Jenn for mentioning the sale in her post yesterday. I also bought a shirt off of P&M and I bought another one last week during her flash sale. I also have these sitting in my shopping cart, but haven't pull the trigger because they wouldn't ship until end of July.

I confess that I am obsessed with the new baby mirrors we put in our cars this week. I can now see the girls at all times. We get a peak into how they spend their time on our daily commutes. Whether they are sleeping, playing, staring out the window or watching themselves, I die over the cuteness. How did we ever drive without them?

I confess that I have hair envy. I want my friend Stacey's beautiful color she has going on right now and I want a shorter cut. But I would have hair cut remorse, so I only ever trim. Rory told me that hair grows back, but I would want my long hair again after 2 weeks. So I will keep the length, but maybe change the color up a bit. I am in desperate need of this hair appointment on Friday.

I confess that I finally bought some dry shampoo. I haven't used it yet, but I am super excited. I had a sample of it before and hated it (hoping it was just the brand) because I looked like I had dandruff and it weighed my hair down. I am hoping to use it this weekend while camping and see how I like it.

I confess that I have a countdown until vacation on my work calendar. Yes, I am back in elementary school. It pleases me everyday when I realize how close we are to going to Graeagle for a week. I realize I just got back from a vacation in April, but mama needs a break and a chance to sleep in for a week.

I confess that I am not seeing the results I want at the gym. Not sure if it's just me, my post pregnancy body or what, but I want everything to tighten up a bit (name that movie). Or maybe it is partially due to my deflated tatas. I have been working out at least three times a week plus evening walks and my simply fit board and I want my pre-wedding body back. Haha, wishful thinking.

I confess that I definitely partook in National Wine Day yesterday. I almost forgot, but as soon as my lady babies were asleep, I cracked open a bottle and waited for Rory to bring home dinner. Wine before dinner....yes please.

    1. haha, yes I did. My wallet isn't happy, but I am giddy about my clothes. I love the sandals, but not sure if July 22nd is too late for them to arrive. Or do I chance that they will be there when I go to the Bay Area next weekend and get them before the sale ends. Haha, I did have two glasses, so one can be for you.

  3. I do vacation countdowns too! You found some great stuff yesterday! Those sandals are awesome, but I agree that it's tough if they dont ship until the end of july. Boo!

    1. So glad I am not the only one. I am thinking I can check out Nordstrom in the Bay Area when we go next weekend for Rory's great aunts service and a mini baby shower for my sister in law.

  4. Girl.. I just got those weeds in the mail yesterday! They are so cute on! I've got a count down going for the beach this weekend and I feel like time keeps standing still. Have a great Thursday!

    2. Hahaha, I was like what, you got weeds in the mail. I love the sandals so much, but ship date is July 22nd. I am hoping to find them next weekend at a Nordstrom store. Have a great Thursday as well!

  5. How did I not know it was national wine day yesterday!? And really, how did you drive without those mirrors!?? We've had them for each baby and I don't know if I could have driven without them, ha ha :) I love me some dry shampoo! Which brand did you buy? I hope it works out!

    1. I only knew from IG and I had to join in. My husband laughed at me for it. I have no clue how we didn't use the mirrors before, but I am so glad we finally got them. I bought the Not Your Mother's fresh and clean one. It is white and green. That one got the best reviews for people with thin hair, so I went for it. I will let you know how it works out.

  6. When my daughter was rear facing I had a mirror in the truck and it was the best thing ever! I had it from the day we brought her home from the hospital! Now that she is front facing it's a whole new ball game! Also I have not seen my pre wedding body since I had my daughter I have finally come to the realization that since I had a baby I may never see that body again because lets be real I am not putting the time and effort I used to into the gym. Gone are the weeks of 6 workouts a week if not more plus learning chorey and teaching group x classes.

    1. I wish I had the mirrors since they were born. That would have been better, but lesson learned for the next one...if we have another. I put the effort into going to the gym, but I don't run like I used to. I don't go 4 times a week and I eat way too much dessert. Haha. So glad I am not the only one who doesn't have time to workout.

  7. I needed national wine day after my night, but that did not happen. I am sure your results are better than you think, but we are so much harder on ourselves. Jealous on your upcoming vacation I need one like whoa.

    1. I did too. The girls were monsters part of the night. They were fighting over my old phone and totally melting down. Lesson learned, don't distract one baby with a phone so you can push the other in their cozy coupe. Oh the tears they had. And I had two glasses of wine to make up for it. When are you going to Hawaii? You guys really need the belated honeymoon!

  8. Love those shoes!! I am totally with ya on the deflated ta tas---I will say however, that I just went shopping at PINK VS and their lace halters are super cute, flattering & gift a lift!! I felt like a new woman! Maybe try some of those on. Happy Thursday!

    1. I tried on the new bralettes, but didn't try on the halters. I wish I had because they seem like they don't push into the armpits as much and give you that ugly side boob. I need to go back and try the halter ones now. Happy Thursday to you as well.

  9. I have constant hair envy. I feel like everyone has such pretty, thick hair. My hair is so thin and fine and I hate it. Your hair is gorgeous! I'm the same way with hair cut remorse, but I think you would look great with shorter hair as well. Which dry shampoo did you end up going with? I've tried so many, but I'm always willing to try new ones - let me know how you like it! I'm jealous of your vacation. I need to save all my days for maternity leave - boo!

    1. I hate my thin hair too. If I don't brush it about 5 times a day, it looks like crap. And I need a root touch up badly. Hair problems. I went with the Not Your Mother's fresh and clean dry shampoo. It had the best reviews for thin hair. I can't wait to try it tomorrow or this weekend. But snuggling a new little one will be the best vacation. I miss the sweet baby smells and the snuggles.

  10. Love our baby mirrors! Glad I'm not the only one that got sucked into sales this week. I started using Batiste dry shampoo a few weeks ago and I'm IN LOVE!! I bought it after seeing on East Coast Chic- Natalie recommended it. I definitely feel you on the deflated tatas. I had no idea that yesterday was National Wine Day.. I actually had wine too! YAY! I don't blame you on counting down to your vacation.. i'm doing the same thing!

    1. Batiste was second on my list, so if Not Your Mother's doesn't work for me, I will try that one out. Jenn recommended the lace halters from Pink VS and said it gives the ladies a lift. I have a $10 off coupon so I might have to go back and check those out. Good for you on having wine too!!!

  11. I absolutely love the baby mirror. It is so nice to look back and see a smile or a sleeping baby. It's such a relief. Also, definitely show us the new hair style. Can't wait to see. Your hair is so pretty already too. And, yes, always count down to vacation. I once read that the excitement part of vacation is almost as much fun as the vacation itself, haha, so soak it up!

    1. Yes it is so much fun to see the babies in their car seats. Thank you for your sweet comments on my hair. Maybe it is just the color that needs to be changed or touched up. Well then a countdown for vacation it is!!!

  12. Hahaha "tighten"! That's from Knocked Up, right? I love that part. I looove those sandals!!!

    1. Yes it is from Knocked Up. Rory and I always quote that. Just tighten it up! I am loving the sandals too. I need them.

  13. I love those little mirrors for the car! We've used one for years, and anytime we don't have it up for some reason I miss it so much! It's so stinking cute to see what your little nugget is up to back there.

    1. I love watching them. Plus they talk to me more in the car now and love looking at themselves in the mirror. They get excited and point.

  14. Oh I want those wedge sandals in the WORST way. I've seen Jessica at Little Baby Garvin wearing them and I fell in love. I just can't bring myself to pay $100 for them.

And yes, you will definitely enjoy those car mirrors! We had them for both of our babies when they were younger and they were life savers! I don't know how you've gone so long without them!

    1. I want them in the worst way too. I might need to go into Nordstrom that way I don't have to wait for them to get here. It is hard to pay $100 for them. That is also what holds me back.

I don't know how we went so long without them either. Total game changer.

  15. I totally forgot about national wine day - so sad! I love those wedges...I have seem them numerous places and I want them a little more every time!

    1. You can always do wine day today :) that is the way I feel about the wedges too. I wish other bloggers would stop showing them off and then I wouldn't want them so much. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

  16. One of these days I will link up, I promise! Lady babies, ha! I need to have a girl just so I can say that. Have you tried beachbody workouts? I am a former personal trainer and group ex instructor and swore against them...until I got pregnant and j really loved the at-home convenience and results. Wine for dinner is the best dinner!

    1. Yes they are. I bought way too much already. Plus I have my eye on a huge canvas from our family photos and I can get killer deals right now.

  19. no but really. how DID you live without baby mirrors before!? I die if I can't see Harper all the time!
I can't even look at the sales because I have zero dollars to spend and I just can't. My credit card says thank you but I love seeing all the fun goodies everyone else is getting!

    1. I don't know how I lived without them. I don't know how we went without them. Plus now I can see that one baby gets a lot of sun (even with tinting) on the drivers side and I need to get a shade for that side. I feel bad that I didn't have them before. I have zero dollars to spend but I went for it. Used some money that I had leftover from my work trip. Eating cheap on those trips means a bit extra cash in my pocket.
