Weekending

It's Monday, but that is ok because it is almost like it is also Thursday. I am only working two days this week and I couldn't be happier. We have family coming into town this week and lots of fun ahead. I can't wait. In the meantime, we just need my husband to get healthy (he got sick yesterday afternoon) so we can enjoy this holiday time. The first Thanksgiving for our little ladies.

This weekend went by in an instant. Friday after work, we took the girls to our favorite little sandwich shop, Pedaler's Deli. And we even picked up a pint of their pumpkin cheesecake ice cream. Said ice cream didn't make it through the weekend. We ate the entire thing over two days. So good.

After lunch, I headed out to run a bunch of errands. I wanted to get most of the weekly shopping out of the way before the holiday shopping hits an all time high. I picked up dog food and treats, bought a bunch of things to craft for the girls' birthday and somethings for the babies (baby food, diapers, q-tips, etc.). It was a lot.

We ordered take out and stayed in that evening.

Saturday we headed out to breakfast early because we had some games to watch later that day. I also had to go back out to three stores to try to find an adapter so we could connect my laptop to our tv. I have no clue what happened to our old one. The rest of the day was spent at home watching Nevada play Utah State (football) and Nevada play Pacific (basketball). We also headed out to sushi for an early dinner.

Sunday, the grandparents came over to watch the girls, so we could go snowboarding. There isn't a ton of snow, but enough to get a taste of snowboarding again. And it felt so good.

We even got to take a little break for a cocktail.
Mt Rose
We still need a lot more snow!

While we were off snowboarding, we got a couple texts with pictures of our girls.
Left: Sutton Right: Avery (the girls loved being pushed around in their diapers box like it was a train, even though their faces don't show it)

The rest of the day was pretty lazy. I did head out to do some grocery shopping for the week and we made dinner. It was a sit by the fire and watch football the rest of the day, kind of day. And it was awesome.

How was your weekend?

    1. Isn't it funny how you can spend so much money on toys and they love the diaper box or laundry basket. Hope you have a good week as well.

    1. Thank you. He seems to be on the mend. He is back at work today with his sniffles and cough tea. Hoping he takes it easy. And he is on daddy duty tonight while mommy gets her hair done and a girls night! But he has a guys night tomorrow at the Nevada basketball game!

    1. Yes! Snowboarding is the best. I didn't get to go last year because I was pregnant and felt bad that I didn't get a pass, but this year I hope to go more.
