Baby Girls are 10 Months!

It's that time of the month again...my babies are a month older. 10 months to be exact (ok and a few days). I can't believe it. In two short months, we will be celebrating their first birthday. And we have Thanksgiving and Christmas along the way. I can't wait to celebrate this holiday season with my little ones.

Onto their 10 month update.

nicknames: Avery: Avery Girl, Avey, Bunny, Chunky Monkey, Avery Madison  Sutton: Sutton Muffin, Sutte, Bear Cub, Little Miss, Sutton Kira

weight: The girls haven't been weighed since their 9 month check-up, but I am assuming they are around the 18 1/2 to 19 pound range. My girls are getting quite long and they grow out of the length of their pants fast, but they are still skinny minnies. We don't have another check-up until their one year appointment.

sleep: Did we even sleep this last month? It sure didn't feel like it. The girls have been teething and they are becoming mobile which makes them not want to sleep that much. We have been waking up many times a night this last month and it is brutal. When can we have our babies who sleep through the night back? Please let month 10-11 be more restful.

eats: The girls are really starting to love purees and real foods. They are currently drinking 27 1/2 ounces of formula a day. We dropped their ounces down as they weren't finishing their bottles anymore. Plus they are eating more foods now and haven't been as interested in their bottles. It is so hard to get them to sit still and take a bottle now a days. They want to be on the move, but still get their milk.

This month the girls have tried more breads, rice, chicken, different fruits (cut up very small), eggs, pancakes and a few other things. Sutton likes real foods more than Avery, but Avery is coming around to them more. They get two jars of puree per day plus any other foods we want them to try at breakfast or dinner.

loves: Sutton: Sutton loves to get into the crawling position. She rocks herself back and forth and has even taken a few "crawls". She has crawled backwards too. If all else fails, she will move to her tummy and scoot around. Sutton has also started to pull herself up on everything. It is time to drop her crib mattress because girl love to sit on her knees and stand. Sutton also loves to steal toys from her sister. If Avery has a toy, Sutton wants it. Even if it is just to take it from her. Little stinker. Sutton loves when you pretend to eat her arms or tummy. She loves to blow bubbles and squeal. Sutton says mamamama when she is upset and sometimes will say hi. Sutton loves her food and is willing to try almost anything. She usually likes it too. She has mastered the pincher grip and likes to feed herself. Sutton holds her own bottle and loves to throw it when she is done. Sutton loves to give hugs!

Avery: Avery loves to talk. She loves to scream and watch everyone for a reaction. She squeals and babbles all day long. She also says mamamama when she gets upset and sometimes says hi as well. Avery loves sitting up and scooting around in circles. She will scoot herself across the room. She is starting to get into the crawl position and loves to be standing. She also loves jumping and dancing. Avery does her little dance/bobbing when you either sing to her or music comes on. Avery loves playing with toys and just hanging out. She is very independent. Avery is now pulling herself up on the crib railing and loves to stand and hold the yoga ball. She has also taken a liking to head butting everything. Avery loves shaking her head. Avery's favorite song is "If You're Happy and You Know It, Clap Your Hands". She gets so excited for it. Avery loves picking up toys and throwing them. Avery holds her own bottle and has even mastered the one hand bottle hold. Avery loves walking around with mommy and daddy.

Both girls have really started liking bath time. They get to take a bath in the big girl tub and they get to take it together now. They have lots of bath toys now which makes bath time more fun. They even enjoy getting their hair washed which we haven't seen since they were in the NICU. The girls also love being in their high chairs. Especially when we are out to breakfast.

dislikes: The girls do not like Day Light Savings time. They have been waking up early and getting crankier before bed time. They also hate teething. Both girls have two teeth and more on the way and it hasn't been any fun for them. They are also starting to not like being in their car seats when we are out and about. They want to be carried around or in a shopping cart.

clothing size: The girls are wearing 9 month and 12 month clothing.

diaper size: Size 3.

Baby girls, mommy and daddy love you both so much. In two short months, you will be one and we can't even believe it. You have changed so much over the last 10 months and it has gone by in a blink of an eye. Everyone says to soak up these moments because they don't last long, and they are right. We can't wait to celebrate this holiday season with you two and see the wonder and joy in your eyes.

This month we celebrated your first Halloween, went to football games, took your first trip to Apple Hill, went to the last Food Truck Friday of the year, went to Tahoe and went on your very first swings and got your very first flu shot.

You two are the light of our lives and have changed us so much.
Love, Mommy and Daddy
